Smalls Jazz Club located in the West Village, is an intimate venue to grab a drink with a friend and enjoy live jazz. Due to their lower cover than a lot of other clubs with the same recognition, they tend to sell out fast. They do take walk-ins, but if you want to be sure to get a seat, you should buy a ticket. Advanced tickets are $35 Sunday through Thursday, and $40 Friday and Saturday. Student tickets are $10 and are applicable for the midnight set only, Sun-Thur. Also, check out their afternoon jam sessions on Saturday and Sunday.
