Artist Matthew Fisher recently debuted a stunning new exhibition of stone works at The Seaport Gallery. The collection features 120 + pieces, created from stone, metal, and cotton cord, that took more than six months to complete.

“Sharing my passion for stone was the earliest impulse behind the gallery,” says Fisher. “Stone radiates energy and embodies an inconceivable process of time when you stand amongst it. I have widened the lens of M.FISHER to showcase a theatrical interior inspired by a taste of the world from which my work is conceived. My creations are choreographed into the three spaces within the gallery with the intent to inspire and surprise.”

The gallery, located at 106 South Street, joins the revitalized Seaport District, with its freshly laid cobblestones and Revolutionary-era streetscapes, further enhanced with the additions of the Tin Building by Jean-Georges and the Rooftop at Pier 17.
