On Tuesday, October 8, the Alliance for Downtown New York will host its third annual Lunch Box: a pop-up food fair at 28 Liberty’s Fosun Plaza, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The open-air festival, which draws thousands of attendee annually, will feature 10 local restaurants, many of which have recently opened in Lower Manhattan. Each will offer a $10 boxed lunch that includes one main dish (a protein) and two sides. Drinks are also available for an additional cost. Public admission is free and the event will be held rain or shine.
“Lunch Box is a great opportunity to support the recent additions to our flourishing dining scene while getting a great deal on some delicious food,” Downtown Alliance President Jessica Lappin said. “Grab lunch with us on the plaza and maybe even try a couple of different boxes for variety.”
As part of the Alliance’s ongoing commitment to a sustainable Lower Manhattan, Lunch Box will be a zero-waste event. Composting and recycling stations will be located throughout the plaza.
