The Whitney Museum of American Art: The Whitney Biennial
Co-curators David Breslin and Adrienne Edwards bring to life the 2022 Whitney Biennial: Quiet As It’s Kept. Of the exhibit, Breslin/Edwards say, “Deliberately intergenerational and interdisciplinary, this Biennial proposes that cultural, aesthetic, and political possibility begins with meaningful exchange and reciprocity.” Work from artists like Jonathan Berger and Coco Fusco will be on view until September 5th.
The Met: Winslow Homer: Crosscurrents
This new exhibit runs through July 31st and gives visitors the opportunity to view art from Winslow Homer, the iconic 19th Century American painter whose work typically depicts marine subjects. At the heart of this exhibit is The Gulf Stream , alongside 87 other oils and watercolors.

The Broad: Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Mirror Rooms
Two of Yayoi Kusama’s more than 20 Infinity Mirror Rooms are now on display at The Broad. Visitors can see both The Souls of Millions of Lightyears Away–an immersive, one minute experience–and Longing for Eternity.
MOCA: Old and New Dreams: Recent Acquisitions In A Collection
On view until September 11th, this collection brings together some of MOCA’s acquisitions from the past two years. Artists include, Camille Henrot, Ian Cheng, Essie Bendolph Pettway, and Trulee Hall.
The Grammy Museum: Songs of Conscience, Sounds of Freedom
The latest iteration of this exhibit, which first debuted in 2008, has been updated to include music and artists discussing Black Lives Matter and LGBTQIA+ rights as well as a special “The Sounds of Los Angeles Section” that features LA social movements and communities.

Perez Art Museum: Marisol And Warhol Take New York
This new exhibit opened April 15th and runs through September 5th. Showing off some of the most iconic art from the Pop Art era, this exhibit features pieces like Warhol’s Self-Portrait and Marisol’s The Family.
The latest exhibit from photo-based artist María Martínez-Cañas features collages created from objects the artist’s mother brought with her from Cuba when she was forced to leave in the 1960’s. The exhibit is on display until October 23rd, and the museum will also host several events with the artist in that time.
