Four Cleansers That Will Keep Your Skin Fresh And Hydrated During Winter

It’s already end-November, which means Thanksgiving is here. That also means time for a much-needed break. And the break away from the office, makeup and tight clothing make it a great time to give your skin a little more focus and maybe try out some new products. Here are four cleansers and masks we’ve been particularly excited about this fall — and will continue to be in winter as the temps start dropping. Some of them have particularly been lifesavers on busy mornings.

 

AHAVA Mineral Radiance

The Mineral Radiance Mud Mask and Cleansing Gel from AHAVA are great for a little detox and bringing some glow back to your skin. Long hours in the office and less time in sunlight already have my skin looking a little more tired, but these instantly give it a fresh feel. The cleanser contains jojoba oil and Signaline S™, to invigorate the skin while cleansing, while the mud mask (which you only need to wear for 2 minutes! Talk about a lifesaver for this busy lady) hydrates and refreshes, perfect for the months of cold and dry winds in the city.

 

L’Oréal Paris Pure-Clay Cleansers

These three cleansers from L’Oréal Paris have been one of my favorite hacks this fall. A master procrastinator and always running a few minutes behind, I don’t often have time to sit down and put on a mask (though I do like it when I do, oh the sweet sound of self-pampering). With these cleansers, they’ve managed to work clay — the detoxifying ingredient found in many face masks — into the formulas, giving you all its benefits in a shorter amount of time. They come in three variations, Detox and Brighten, Exfoliate and Refine, and Purify and Mattify, so you can choose the right one based on your skin’s needs.

 

SkinCeuticals Cleansers

SkinCeuticals is a brand well-known for its dedication to “provide advanced skincare backed by science.” So if you’re looking for a brand you can count on, SkinCeuticals might just be for you. Earlier this fall, they put out two new cleansers. The cream-to-foam Replenishing Cleanser boasts surfactant technology that deeply cleanses skin of dirt, debris and impurities while simultaneously replenishing the skin barrier, while the Soothing cleanser is great for those of us with sensitive skin. It gently and effectively cleanses skin of dirt, debris, impurities, and makeup with botanical extracts that soothe and comfort skin.

 

Clarisonic

Tried-and-true, Clarisonic remains a favorite. There’s just a luxurious feel to turning on your brush and gently letting it massage your face while removing the daily grime. Get Glam for Halloween With These Three Looks

Don’t be scared to get creative with your Halloween makeup look. Stand out from every witch and cat in the crowd with three of-the-moment makeup ideas – unicorn, mermaid, and galaxy girl. No (Halloween) tricks here – only treats in the form of simple, DIY makeup tricks for easily recreating the looks.

Liza Lash for L’Oréal Paris

STEP 1: Highlight. Swipe the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Galaxy Stick in Cosmic Pink across the length of the cheekbones, down the bridge of your nose, just above the cupid’s bow and a smidge on the jawline.

STEP 2: Create the unicorn lid. Coat lids with the lighter side of the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Paints Eye Shadow in Cool Ivory. Next, use the lighter end of the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Paints Eye Shadow in Shady Violet to add dimension to the crease. Gently blend the colors. Finish with a subtle highlight along the brow bone again using the light end of Cool Ivory.

STEP 3: Double-line the upper lash line. Draw a thin line across the lid with the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Paints Eyeliner in Black Party, then draw a thick line using the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Paints Eyeliner in Intrepid Teal right above it, flicking it out at the corner of your eye.

STEP 4: Top off the statement unicorn eye makeup look with a coat of L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Original Mascara in Black.

STEP 5: Finish by mixing the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Paints Lipcolor in Violet Twist and Lilac Lust together for a purple-hued unicorn-inspired lip.

Master A Mermaid Look

STEP 1: Create the scales first. Press a pair of fishnet stockings onto the forehead and go over it with  L’Oréal Paris Infallible Galaxy Stick in Astro Blue and the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Paints Eye Shadow in Mint Detox. Do the same on cheeks.

STEP 2: Create the mermaid statement eye. Use blue shade from the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Paints Eye Shadow in BRB Blue to paint your lid. Then fill in the crease with the darker green shade followed by the gray side to highlight the brown bone and inner corner of the eye. Use the light green shade to add dimension to the under-eye along the lower lash line.

STEP 3: Add eyeliner. Line your upper lash line with the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Paints Eyeliner in Black Party and follow it up with a touch of Intrepid Teal.

STEP 4: Top it all off with a coat of t L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Original Mascara in Cobalt.

STEP 5: Finish with lipstick. Embrace ocean waves by applying L’Oréal Paris Infallible Paints Lipcolor in Navy Spy. Blot the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Paints Lipcolor in Domineering Teal in the center of lips for an ocean ombré.

Glow Like A Galaxy Girl

STEP 1: Highlight, highlight, highlight. Swipe the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Galaxy Stick in Astro Blue anywhere that light would naturally hit. Think: your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose, the center of your chin, and a touch along your collarbones.

STEP 2: Apply lipstick. To add some serious allure to your galaxy makeup look, paint your pout with the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Paints Lipcolor in Lilac Lust.

STEP 3: Highlight your lips. Once your lipstick dries, highlight the center of your lips and your cupid’s bow with the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Galaxy Stick in Astro Blue.

Finish With a Pop of Hair Color: Add a pop of temporary color to hair using the new L’Oréal Paris Colorista Sprays. From rose gold and pastel blue to hot pink, the sprays offer instant hair color transformation to complement any Halloween look. Just spray and wash out once the night ends.

Balmain x L’Oréal Paris To Launch Exclusive Lipstick Collection

Have you always dreamed of being part of the “Balmain army”? Wake up, because your dream just turned into reality. The exclusive French fashion house teamed up with the beloved cosmetics brand L’Oréal Paris and unveiled the advertising campaign for their exclusive capsule collection lipsticks launching next month.
The campaign features 12 beautiful women, all of different origin, which include such models Doutzen Kroes and Lara Stone. According to the brands, these women are meant to “reflect three tribes of L’Oréal Paris and Balmain Paris femininity,” and send “a message of beauty in diversity and female empowerment.”

L’Oréal expressed this message when they revealed their collaboration on Instagram with the caption: “No matter your origin, No matter your tribe. Come together, be seen, be heard. United, we are invincible. Because we are all worth it.”

Balmain’s creative director Oliver Rousteing explained to Vogue that a collaboration with L’Oréal – a more accessible brand, which shares the same strong vision of femininity – fits right in with his mission to meet his youth audience and provide them a piece of Balmain.

The brands also share the same purpose to “empower women and offer them diverse ways to express themselves,” according to Rousteing. “With this collaboration, I’m thrilled to make this idea tangible for every woman around the world,” he told WWD.

The collection consists of 12 couture matte shades by Color Riche, which come in three couture packs. The Rock Tribe (deep blue), The Couture Tribe (black) and The Glamazone Tribe (dark green). Every pack has four shades, designed to suit a range of complexions. The lipsticks will be available from early September in all Balmain stores and selected L’Oréal Paris sale points.
