Bluebee Pals: A Huggable Plush that Reads and Sings!

Sem Título-2

Having someone that talks to your baby, sings songs and can calm him down while you take a nap, cook and have only one eye on him instead of two? It’s basically a moms biggest dream.

Kayle Concepts is introducing a new toy similar to a teddy bear that sings, reads and answers phone calls. The technology includes lip synchronization allowing the animal’s “mouth” to move while singing and reading your favorite storybooks. You can also surprise and entertain your family and friends with a phone call connected to a Bluebee Pal.

To help you even more, one of the official partners of the Bluebee Pals is iStoryTime, a free app that offers access to a large collection of storybooks featuring beloved characters including The Smurfs, Dora the Explorer, SpongeBob Squarepants and many more. Not only will your child will be able to follow along with a story on their iPad, but their Bluebee companion will actually read the story to them.

Another official partner of Bluebee Pals is Cubic Frog, a company that has created a variety of interactive educational games for children teaching them the alphabet, colors, sounds and even foreign languages. Equipped with an iPad and their Bluebee companion, children of all ages are all set to enjoy a song through Pandora or learn to read.

The Bluebee Pals have not forgotten adults. Having one of the animals “channel” an iPhone conversation with a spouse or co-worker can be a fun and stimulating experience – and children love hearing their parents use this feature too when mom or dad is working late at the office or traveling, or when they want to connect with loved ones from literally anywhere in the world.

The fun is about to begin in just a few weeks when Bluebee Pals are introduced through ToysRUs stores throughout the US! You can your pre-order or your Bluebee Pal for $64,99 on their site and be ready to enjoy.

Spend Your Summer Fridays with FiDi Families

CALENDARLOGOFIDIGOODGOOD

It’s no secret that kids get restless during the summer. Parents love spending time with their young ones, but constantly brainstorming for different activities to keep their children entertained can grow tiring. Lucky for you, you can spend your Fridays with FiDi Families.

Friday with FiDi Families was created by the DOWNTOWN Magazine NYC’s Lifestyle and Family Editor, Denise Courter, as way to help build community events that are family-friendly. The summer series is a weekly event involving free activities offered every Friday at the South Seaport Front/Row stage located at Fulton and Front street. Your child’s summer energy will drain out of his or her system in no time. These fun activities will be available every Friday until the end of August, and you won’t want to miss out on the excitement they have to offer you and your child.

Activities will start at 10 a.m. and include music, arts & crafts, storytelling and more. This Friday will mark the kick-off with Music for Aardvarks, an interactive musician and sing-along for all ages. After you enjoy the singing you can stop by AmazeBooths, a photo booth with fun costumes and props for you and your child.

Throughout this Friday event series, children and parents will also be treated to a complimentary GoGo SqueeZ, a delicious all-natural 100% fruit squeezable applesauce. Friday with FiDi Families will include a handful of additional activities with more sing-alongs and even a free manicure for you and your child by CityMANI. Be sure to join in on the summer fun and visit the South Seaport this Friday.

[slideshow_deploy id=’45705′]

Throwback Thursday is the perfect excuse to showcase one of our favorite retro fashion trends. It is the return of the Jelly Bean Jelly’s sandals. The sandals made a big splash in the 1980’s and has reappeared as a fun spring trend for kids of all ages. The Jelly Beans sandals are the ultimate in versatility and comfort. Made of high quality PVC, the sandals are available in an array of colors, including neon, sparkles and clear. With names like Ginger, Lemon, Lime Dreams, Purple Haze and Sherbies, it’s hard not to smile. As everyone comes out of hibernation and begins shedding their layers of clothes and boots, its nice to know that kids will be able to dress in some fun, affordable fashion, perfect for the warmer weather.
