The dazzling Holiday Train Show returns to New York Botanical Garden Nov. 15-Jan. 11, that will include special Holiday Train Nights with cocktails and bites, sensory family days, and more.

For more than three decades, the Holiday Train Show has been a joyous winter tradition for New Yorkers.  The timeless magic of rail travel fills NYBG with seasonal cheer as model trains travel over famous bridges and through familiar city settings, bringing nearly 200 twinkling landmark replicas—including new surprises for 2025/2026—to life under the glass of the warm and welcoming Enid A. Haupt Conservatory.

The New York City skyline includes a new replica of The Whitney Museum Art Leonard A. Lauder Building.

You’ll want to get up close to see the detail given to these miniature masterpieces, each one meticulously crafted from plant parts like palm fronds, pinecones, and cinnamon sticks. Outside on the Conservatory Lawn, a glowing mountain-scape brimming with even more trains and picture-perfect moments is yours to explore. This year’s exhibition includes new replicas of The Dellacorte Theater and The Whitney Museum.

Holiday Train Nights make for a lovely date night or get together with friends. On these specially selected evenings, visitors will get to see the New York Botanical Garden Holiday Train Show as well as the grounds lit in full splendor, enjoy cocktails at the Bar Car (21+), bites, live entertainment, and more, perfect for photo capturing moments.

Special sensory dates are available for families on Dec. 14 and Jan. 3. Additionally, your ticket provides access to NYBG’s outdoor gardens and collections. Staff will be present to support your visit as you enter and explore the Holiday Train Show without videos or music playing, for a more relaxed visit from 9 to 11 a.m. For more information and to buy tickets, visit nybg.org
