NYC has no shortage of coffee shops, but which spots downtown are the best? This National Coffee Day, celebrate with DOWNTOWN at some of our favorite spots! For even more coffee fun, make sure to stop by the New York Coffee Festival running October 7-9.

Voyager Espresso, 110 William St (Lower Level)

Don’t miss out on this underground spot! Located on the lower level of 110 William St, Voyager Espresso opened in 2015. The name is an allusion to astronomer Carl Sagan, and the owners strive to combine science and creativity to craft some of my favorite coffee in NYC! They also offer a few breakfast options; I tried the ham and cheese croissant, and it was delicious!

Founded in 2005, Blue Spoon Coffee Company serves Intelligentsia coffee and a variety of breakfast options. Stop by for coffee or even their seasonal Apple Cider alongside paninis, breakfast sandwiches, and wraps. They also have a loyalty card for people who stop by often.

Laughing Man Cafe, 184 Duane st

The Laughing Man Café and The Laughing Man Foundation by Hugh Jackman support coffee farming communities while also providing you with an amazing cup of coffee! To learn more about what the foundation does and how to support these efforts, visit the foundation’s website. This one is a favorite of our Managing Editor, Linda!

Ten Thousand Coffee, 14 wall street

Located right on Wall Street, 10000 Coffee is both an Australian and New York staple. Their minimal branding and sleek shops make for a calming coffee experience in a chaotic world. They also have a special discount available for people who live and work in the area, a great bonus for students like me!
