As the summer heat rises, so does the activity in Miami. A lineup of music and dance festivals, art exhibits, and more kicks off this July in the city. Check out these major happenings this month that will dazzle Miami with life and color!

July 1 – August 31

Looking to relax and unwind this summer? Various luxury spas around the Greater Miami area will partake in Miami Spa Months offering deals that can save you up to 50 percent off on their services. The city has an abundance of spas to choose from where clients can enjoy discounted treatments, such as the Tierra Santa Healing House at the Faena Hotel Miami Beach and Lapis, the Spa at Fontainebleau. A day at the spa also can also come along with other perks including complimentary valet parking and access to additional hotel amenities.

July 8-10

For comic book and pop culture fans, Miami Beach’s Convention Center will host its annual three-day comic book convention, Florida Supercon. Alongside pop culture icons, 

 celebrate animation, video games, cosplay, fantasy, and sci-fi through interactive exhibits, panels, contests, and plenty of mingling. James and Oliver Phelps, who starred as Fred and George Weasley in the Harry Potter movie franchise, and The Walking Dead stars Cooper Andrews and Ross Marquand are among the celebrity guests to make an appearance at this year’s Supercon.

July 14-21

Attracting top designers, models, and fashion industry leaders to Miami Beach, Miami Swim Week is Fashion Week Online’s series of swimsuit fashion shows at the SLS South Beach. Attendees can enjoy a slew of parties and live performances, with a crypto/metaverse element weaved in. VIP tickets can be purchased, granting access to private cabanas, swag bags, exclusive after-parties, and two complimentary bottles of sparkling wine.

July 21-25

Get on your feet and ready to dance at Miami’s Salsa Congress at the Eden Roc Hotel. The five-day Latin music festival will feature the world’s top salsa talent, including musicians, dancers, DJs, and bands. The largest of its kind, the event boasts a variety of pool parties, evening galas, dance workshops, and live concerts.

July 22-24

Known for its music scene, the Rolling Loud Music Festival is coming to Miami later this month. One of the biggest, internationally recognized rap and hip-hop festivals will draws crowds to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. Its 2022 lineup will welcome headliners Ye (Kanye West), Future, and Kendrick Lamar.

July 23 – August 14

The Miami Hispanic Ballet will host the annual International Ballet Festival of Miami (IBFM). This globally recognized festival is considered the most successful ballet gala in the U.S. and provides a stage for both local talent and prestigious ballet companies from Europe, Asia, and Latin America to perform. To kick off the festivities, the ballet extravaganza will include an educational dance film series in collaboration with the Cinemathèque de la Danse de Paris and the Dance Film Association from New York.

Throughout July

Serving an opportunity for learning, teaching, and performing for young musicians and established instructors, Miami Beach Classical Music Festival (MMF) will kick off this July. The eight week festival’s programs will include more than 70 public events, such as opera productions, symphonic concerts, student/faculty recitals, and master classes. Many of the event’s concerts are hosted at the Faena Forum, which will transform into a grand opera theater from July 15 – 18.

Nature Connects at Fairchild

Until August 28
Calling all LEGO fans! Artist Sean Kenney’s award-winning, record-breaking exhibition, Nature Connects will make its way to Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden for the summer season. Guests can view over 30 giant sculptures built with more than 700,000 LEGO bricks spread out across the garden’s 83 acres. The New York-based artist depicts animal habitats and expresses how nature is connected through the coveted toys.
